Warning!!!! All Bloggers and Picasa users!!

I recently got an android tablet, the Acer Iconia tab A100 and it automatically came with Google+. When I registered my account to my tab it uploaded all of my google photos, including all the pictures from my Picasa account (which is where all the photos for Blogger are). Thinking that the photos were COPIES of the Picasa albums I deleted those albums from my Google+ account. It removed all of the cluttered blogger photos from my albums on Google+ and on my tab so I was happy.

Then I get an email today saying that my blogger account is having issues and NONE of my photos on blogger are coming up. I checked my Picasa account and all the photos that I deleted from my Google+ account were now all deleted from Picasa also; which in turn has therefore deleted ALL of the photos on my ENTIRE blog!!!

First of all....AHHHHHH!!!! A whole year, over 100 posts, over 1000 pictures, GONE! Thankfully I have all of the photos on my computer still and I can get them all put back on my blog, but the thing about deleting from Picasa is, it's PERMANENT! No recycle bin, no recovery, no warning! I am going to have to go through post by post, photo by photo and remove the black "error" photo and replace it with the photo that once was there. UGHHHH! So tedious and time consuming! So this will take me a little while to get my blog back up to normal but I wanted to warn all my followers just in case I can prevent the same thing from happening to you!

If I could go back and do it all over again I would have moved them all into a folder just for blogger instead of trying to get rid of them from my photos completely. The photos don't make sense without the blog written with them so I saw them as clutter on my G+ account and on my tab.... For future reference, DO NOT SEE THEM AS I DID!

I really really hope I can at least prevent one person from losing all of their photos and then this will have served its purpose! So basically my warning to you is that Google+ and Picasa and Blogger photos are all one in the same and not copies so please be careful when trying to declutter your photo albums!

Lasting Memories Challenge - Hopping into Spring!

I'm a little late posting, the challenge went live this morning but..

Welcome to another Lasting Memories Challenge!
This week our challenge is "Hopping into Spring!" Show us those Easter/Spring time layouts.
Our very own is Jenassa is giving away a $15 gift card to either Michaels or Joanns to the winner of this weeks challenge so get those Spring time layouts linked up by next Saturday for your chance to win :)

As usual we have an OPTIONAL sketch for some added inspiration if you choose to use it, and this week I did! Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout for the challenge:
(click on the photo for a bigger view)

My photo is from a couple days after Easter this year when it was sprinkling outside and I still couldn't get Kenzie to come inside for ANYTHING! This kid would sleep outside if I let her.. LOL
I threw some eggs out for her to "hunt" and she stopped at every one and had to open them up and close them over and over again. She is still a little too young to get the concept of finding all the eggs and putting them all in your basket lol but it made for some ADORABLE photos that double as rainy day photos. We had a little mini photo shoot and we were out there for a couple hours.. She definitely didn't mind, like I said as long as she's outside she's game for anything! Haha :)

My background paper is from the new DCWV Spring Fling stack, it has so many pretty florals in it, they are gorgeous!

I used my Recollections edge punch and some purple ribbon for my accents and then topped it off with some buttons and a twine bow

My butterflies are from Recollections Signature collection

My title is an Imaginisce rub on with rhinestones, so cute!

I fussy cut the flowers a little bit to put the picture behind them for more depth and dimension, I did have to trim some leaves off though that went a little too high on the picture..

I really hope you will join us at Lasting Memories and share your springtime layouts with us!

Happy Scrapping!

Challenges I'm entering this layout into:
Lasting Memories - Springtime/Easter
Cropstop - Buttons and Bows
Frosted Designs - Weather

Getting Scrappy Challenge - Banners or Pendants!!

It's Sunday... which means a new Getting Scrappy Challenge
(As well as the end of my Spring Break... wahh lol)

Our challenge for the next two weeks is to use banners or pendants on your layouts, how fun is that!? Banners are all over the blogging world right now and I am no exception, they add such a fun touch to any layout.

This week I got a little banner happy with my layout and I love the simplicity of it to show off the photos and my banners :)

These pictures are of Kenzie last month in March at her cousin's 2nd birthday party. She got a lot of suckers from the pinata and dug right in lol. Her necklace and bracelet are also from the pinata, she had to wear them all right away :)

I blinged out my journal spot by placing rhinestones all around it and wrote with a glitter pen

My title is a chipboard element by MAMBI and went with this layout of her eating candy perfectly :)

I embossed the white flags with swirls and machine sewed my banners onto my page, then "hung" them with pink rhinestones

I hope you will come join us over at Getting Scrappy, we are being sponsored by Paper Issues and the prize pack is super YUMMY! :) You have 2 weeks to link up for your chance to win!

Happy Scrapping!

Challenges:
Getting Scrappy - Banners
Child's Play - Candyland inspiration
(I was inspired by the candy/sucker in the photos)

Journal Update (& thank you) for Emily!

I just got off the phone with my SIL, Emily's mom and she is soooooooo thankful to each and every person that has sent something to little Emily! Her and I have never actually spoken before so she was so glad that she could somehow communicate to everyone that has been a part of Cards for Emily, she wishes that she could send a thank you card back but that would take FOREVER! I am soo truly thankful that there is so much love to go around and she has promised me some pictures to show everyone what Emily has been getting and how happy it makes her everyday to get new cards! She has updated Emily's CaringBridge and here is what she wrote:

Well I have finished this phase of my chemotherapy!!!! I made it ALL the way 'till the end without any major complications! I just cross my fingers that this next phase goes just as well.
I have truly enjoyed my time at home with the love and support of my friends, family and community! I even have friends from ALL over the world sending me all kinds of notes, cards and gifts thanks to my Aunt Michelle! I wish I could thank each and every one of my new pals but time just doesn't allow! (note from mom......thank you Michelle for organizing the cards for Emily. It puts a smile on her face every single day that she checks the mail!!! And THAT is priceless!!!!)
I'm still keeping up with my schoolwork thanks to my super fantastic teacher!!! And I am running and swinging on my play set every chance I get. I will keep everyone posted on my next step in chemo and send out lots and lots of hugs and kisses! Until then..... Warm thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Grandma Lisa :)

Kenzie's paternal grandma, Lisa came to visit from LA a little while ago and bought her an entire new wardrobe for spring in the next size up. I am sooo grateful because she totally did NOT have to do that! I wanted to make her a card to show her just how much we appreciated her doing that for us :)

I made a side step card for my first time! I found the template for the measurements online. I just LOVE how this card came out, and so perfect for spring! I used the clothesline to represent exactly what I am so thankful for ;)

My tree is cut from the CAC cart at 4". My cutout leaves kinda look like lemons lol so we will call it a lemon tree ;) I used my peachy keen face as well of course!

My clothes on the clothesline are from the Little Girl collection by EP. I cut it out of the front sample sheet, it was the perfect size that way! The sticker that came with the collection was just a little too big. I used twine to tie them up and attached them simply to some toothpicks that I hot glued onto the card. My grass is from Everyday Paper Dolls cart.

The kite and cloud are also from the CAC cart and my sentiment is from the same Little Girl EP collection. My cloud background paper is from K&Co.

I hope you like my card!! I'm pretty sure Kenzie's grandma will, she loves everything handmade and I know this will be perfect for her to display on her shelves! :)
TFL!

I am entering this card into the Spring theme challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches:

Getting Scrappy Challenge - Easter Egg-citement!

This week over at Getting Scrappy our challenge is to create a layout with at least one easter egg on it! Since Easter just passed you know you have those photo's of the kid's hunting for the little eggs Mr. Bunny hid for them, so head over to Amanda's blog to enter our challenge for a chance to win some great stuff!!

We are sponsored by Paper issues this time and the prize is yummyyy!! Go check it out for yourself if you don't believe me! :)

Here is my page:

My editing of this photo does not do it justice, with it's soft pastels and super glittery elements so I apologize but you're gonna have to take my word for it, it looks better IRL. :) Everything used is from the Bunny Love collections by Best Creations Inc.

My bunny is cut from the CAC cartridge and his tummy is Perfect Pearled with Grape fizz powder. I colored in all his purple spots with my purple Gelly roll stardust pen for extra sparkle, and his egg is a scrap piece from my title lol it worked perfect!

This is a chipboard journaling spot that was included in the Bunny Love kit by Best Creations Inc. I used my sharpie pen to journal, but if you look closely I didn't let it dry all the way before I swiped my finger across.. but that gives it the "hand-made" feel so I don't worry too much about it :)

My title (sorry so hard to see) is cut from the Holiday Cakes cricut cartridge at 3.75" and then I cut it apart since the "Easter" is under "Happy" and then I put them side by side to fit my layout better. :)

So get those pictures down on paper and come show us your Easter Eggs! You have until this coming up Saturday so plenty of time!

Challenges:
Getting Scrappy - Easter Eggs
Better Scrap - Pastels

Lasting Memories Challenge - "April Showers Bring May Flowers"

Hi everyone! So sorry I haven't had any projects to show you lately, I kinda lost my mojo there for a while, but I think it is finally back!! I am on Spring Break from college finally and I am planning on getting A LOT of crafting done! :)

This week over at Lasting Memories the challenge is "April Showers Bring May Flowers". We want you to show off those rainy day photo's or those gorgeous blooms! We are being sponsored by A2Z scrapbooking for a $10 gift certificate and there is also an optional sketch for you to play along with if you need one, but for my layout I chose a different one this week. I also chose to show off pretty flowers since I couldn't fine ONE picture of the rain. AND I got to finally use a sewing machine for the first time after going through 3 non working ones! Well here, see for yourself! :)

I love the way this page came out! So springy and fun :) We got a surprisingly warm day here in Northern Cali in early March, so when Kenzie spotted the sprinklers I grabbed her new bathing suit and threw it on her and of course grabbed my camera to snap some adorable photos and I'm so glad I did :)

I used my Singer Pixie Plus to sew a circle around my sentiment which is a combination of Joy's Life Stamps for Hello (sweetie taped off) and a DCWV rub-on for Spring. My shape is cut from the Lacy Labels cartridge.

I made my own shade of purple paint and splattered some on my white paper for this cool little effect. I love that flower patterned paper too! Cut from CAC cart

Go link up your rainy day or flower pages over at Lasting Memories! You have until April 14th!

Sketch I used:

Challenges:
Lasting Memories - Flowers
Love to Crop - Any sentiment
ScrapFit - 4 photos
Sous - Spring theme
