Paper Bag Mini Album

WARNING!! : SUPER PHOTO HEAVY! Be prepared. Lol.
I made my very first paper bag mini album for my sister-in-law Amy of our babies, who are cousins :) I absolutely LOVE the way this came out! All the paper is from Best Creations Safari Boy 6"x6" collection

I started with 3 standard size lunch bags and I stacked them so every other page would have the opening of the bag for a pocket and folded them in half. I punched 3 holes and binded them with ribbons from my stash. I welded the letters for "cousins" from the Simply Sweet cartridge using design studio and inked the edges with brown and black then used stickles around the entire title and popped it up on foam dots. The lion sticker is from the Safari Boy kit and the flower is recollection from M's.

I used enamel accents in white for the little white dots.

I used diamond glaze for the water droplets on the flower.

All stickers are from Safari Boy collection

The second page has a pocket formed by the opening of the bag.

I took a 6"x 6" page from the collection, trimmed it to fit in the pocket and stamped it with a Hero Arts quote stamp and rounded the corners.

I put a picture of Amy, her baby sister, Angela, Kenzie, and her son Gyasi

I cut out one of the journal spots from the collection and popped it up and used an "angel" circle sticker also from the Safari Boy collection

I popped up "cuddly" on some pop dots as well from the collection

I just used a very pretty flower with a leaf from the sticker page of the collection to keep this page very pretty and clean

I added a monkey and 3 little flower stickers to this sweet page.

The monkey is a chipboard piece from the 12" x 12" collection of Safari Boy

This page also has a pocket

I did the same thing to all 3 pull out pages

and added a picture of the babies at the pumpkin patch on the back

I used the little letter stickers from the collection and spelled out "ouch!"

and a little crocodile picture popped up on pop dots to emphasize the chomping the kids are doing to the tray of Kenzie's stroller :)

again I cut out a journal spot and added a little circle sticker

And the last page has a pocket that holds the last pull out page

I left this one blank so Amy can write anything that she wants

I created a little pocket for the back of this page and added two little journal spots

I left these blank too for anything Amy wants to add to the book, I cut out half circles of the same pattern paper and adhered them to the tops for the little pull tabs.

And of course the back is stamped with "handmade with love"

I Hope You Like It!

Baby Shower Layout

This is a double layout of my daughter's baby shower :)

I wanted to keep it simple since the paper is so detailed and pretty but I also wanted to get a lot of pictures on the pages!

(click on image to view bigger)

This is a 2 page spread. I used pink and green paper from the DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies paper stack and cut the green one in half and used a scallop punch for the edge in the middle of the page.

This tag is from Echo Park Country Drive (LOVEEE EP!) I stamped the parentheses and the date with Recollections Year Round Fun clear stamps. I also used glossy accents on the butterfly but you cant tell in the picture.
TIP: I cut the tag out with scissors in just a rectangle shape, then I took my one hole punch and punched out the half circles to give it a stamp look.. it was printed that way and the scissors kept bending the edges.. this was wayyy easier and came out cleaner :)

There were my baby shower party favors, I took the plastic half spheres that held the candy off of the rattle so it would lay flat and glued it down with 3d glue dots

This was a hand drawn and colored part of my invitations if you go back and see them here.
The blue butterflies are Martha Stewart, inked with blue and I used enamel accents for the little white beads. I glued down only the middles of the butterflies so the wings would stick up.
All of my photo mats are also inked with blue ink.

Happy Scrapping!

Adorably You layout

This one-pager I used a sketch that I found on Pagemaps in the gallery of past sketches, and I loved it.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on it:

I used my Sew Easy to punch holes around the edge and over the little hearts like in the sketch, the threading of the floss was a pain though! I love this picture of Kenzie when she was 2 months:)

This stamp is Recollections

I used a rub-on with gems for the title from Imaginisce and used stickles on the little swirl, but you cant tell in the picture

The hearts are cut from the CAC cartridge. I used stickles on the pink ones in all the little whits spots.

It is really clean and simple and I love the way it came out so I thought I would share :)

Baby Shower Paper Bag Card

Last year my cousin and I were pregnant at the same time and our daughters were born 2 weeks apart.. I made 2 paper bag baby shower cards, one for a girl and one for a boy, both for my cousin and my friend that was also pregnant at the same time (2 months younger than Kenzie)

This was my first time making this type of card and I know I will be making more in the future
I cut the bottom of the paper bag off the bag and cut a double sided strip of paper long enough to go around it with about an inch and a half left to overlap the front again for the little flap.  I used my deco scissors to trim the edge and wrapped a ribbon around the flap. "baby" is cut from the Simply Sweet cartridge with its shadow and popped up on pop dots. (the safety pin is not part of the card, I think it got stuck on the pop dot and wasn't noticed when taking the picture)

I stapled a small piece of ribbon to the matching cardstock inside the card and wrote my message. I wish I had little velcro dots when I made this card because if you notice the front top, the little glue dot I used to close the card ripped the design off the paper. Other than that I LOVED these little cards, they were perfect and one of the very first cards I ever made :)

Merry Christmas!

I made my friends and family these cuuuuute little xmas cards and got them mailed out a couple of days ago:)

I started with a blank white "tag" card and spritzed it with smooch spritz. Then I inked the edges with red and green ink and stapled red and green ribbon through the hole at the top. After the reindeer was put on I went around the edge and stamped with a little white star to indicate him flying through the sky :)

I cut out the little reindeer from CAC and glued all of his layers together. I used stickles to make his nose shiny:) Then popped him up on pop dots so he would "fly" on the card! His edges are all inked with black.

I used a clear mini stamp from Inkadinkadoo on the inside for my sentiment.

Here are a couple of the variations I made :)

I love them! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Happy 1st Birthday Kenzie!

Today was Kenzie's 1st Birthday!

I made her a cute lady bug banner for her party because it was lady bug themed. I love it!

I cut the lady bug from CAC at 6" on the shadow feature. Then I cut her wings and heart which is layer 2. I used the circles that were cut out of the wings for the antennas. Then I cut the letters from the Simply Sweet cartridge at 2.5" and faux stitched around the whole bug.

I cut "st" at 1"

I used a ribbon punch to make holes for the ribbon at the top and strung it through.

I really like how it came out and it added a really great touch to her decorations, everyone loved it! :)
