Happy Halloween Rosette Wreath! October is here again!

I am reposting my wreath tutorial for those that didn't get a chance to see it last year and because I have revamped it! It's gotten a facelift! Come check it out! :)

I made my first tutorial on how to make a rosette wreath (just in case someone who follows me doesn't already know!) :) I know I didn't know how until I followed along with Faith Abigail Designs. This girl is a paper genius! Her tutorial was amazing, so I remade it with my own project.

Okay, so here goes. I wanted to make a wreath for Halloween and I loveeedd the way Faith's came out so I scraplifted her idea and just used different paper and added a Happy Halloween Title to my wreath and an LSHD pattern. I LOVE the way it came out.. I am sooo proud that I finally made this!

So here is how I made it :)

First I wrapped an orange glitter ribbon around a styrofoam wreath from Michaels.

Then I chose 4 papers from K&Co's Spooktacular 12x12 paper pad

I then cut them into strips of 1.5x12 for the biggest rosettes, 1.25x10 for the medium rosettes, and 1x8 for the smallest rosettes. I scored each strip at every quarter inch with my Martha Stewart Score Board.

After scoring the strips I accordion folded each one or mountain-valley folded, and cut one section off each one so one end had a mountain fold and the other had a valley fold.

Then I added adhesive to one end and put the two ends together...

And got this. :)

Here is a picture of all my paper rosette rings.. I did every step in an assembly line way which made it easier I think.

39 in total. But that's because the 4 sheets of paper yielded this many. I only used 33 on my wreath and liked how it looked so I didn't add anymore. It depends on how big you want your wreath or how full.

Then I punched out circles, out of cardstock to glue to the backs and to keep the rosettes flat. Any size circle should work fine. As long as it's not bigger than your smallest rosette. Or too small to use a generous amount of glue.

I used a hot glue gun, I read from a bunch of blogs that this is the best adhesive to use since it bonds fast and holds strong and it's true!

Push the centers of the rosettes until they are flat and glue the circles onto the back to keep them that way.

Then you will have a pile of pretty rosettes!

I added rhinestones in purple, orange, and clear to coordinate with my papers and inked the edges and folds of each rosette with black to create more contrast.

I hot glued each and every one on to the wreath until I liked the fullness of it.

I added a "Happy Halloween" dimensional sticker from Recollections to finish my wreath and I LOVE IT! It made a perfect sentiment and the colors matched exactly :)

Final Product! :)
I pulled this wreath out this year and revamped it with a Double Trouble Witch from Little Scraps Of Heaven Designs along with her cauldron and broomstick to give it a little more oomph!

(sorry for my horrible lighting.... the only time I can do any crafting is late night when the little one is asleep so I either use flash or my lamp. I couldn't wait until morning to take pictures so this is what we get! lol)

What I've been up to... Plus 25% off my etsy shop!

Hi everyone, I haven't been on blogger as much anymore... I've been spending a lot more time over at my fanpage on Facebook

All my projects have been posted over there and I haven't had a chance to put them up on here yet, so I'm going to show you what I have been doing the last month :)

Click on any image to view full size
Her very first time standing on her own and it's on camera!! I was sooo excited! Too bad this costume only lasted long enough for pictures, by the time Halloween came around it was too small for her!

I used the Baby's first Halloween pattern set from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs for my title and for my little bear in a pumpkin

I added a little bow and finished her off :) She is also for sale on my etsy under Scrappin' For Kenzie Creations. And if you visit my Facebook first and click on my etsy shop at the top then you will get 25% off everything in my shop!!

Cut from Lacy Labels

This is definitely a favorite pattern of mine from LSHD called Slice of Summer. So fun to put together and is sooo cute! These photos were taken over the memorial day weekend, she loves her some watermelon!

This pattern set is also for sale on my etsy :) Made to order so completely customizable.

This Noah's arc set is a combo of the Noah's arc file and the zoo/safari pattern sets. I love this sooo much I saved it until I could figure out what I wanted to do with it.. I think it turned out sooo cute! This whole set is also for sale and with 25% off it's only 14.99 for the whole arc including animals! All papers used were from Best Creations Safari Boy for the patterned papers.

up close of my little zebras and lions

...and monkeys and elephants...

...and last but not least the super cute giraffes

I took a teeny bag and wrapped some twine around it, used a circle stamp and a circle punch to make this little button and used it as a jounaling envelope.

Please visit my fanpage on Facebook, by clicking on the link, or by clicking on Like at the top left of this page and visiting my page from there :) TFL!

LSHD Challnege - Christmas in July

This week over at Little Scraps Of Heaven Designs we are celebrating Christmas In July! I used pics from last Christmas when Kenzie met Santa at Bass Pro Shops and from our christmas party. I thought these 2 files went perfectly together and even more perfect with the pictures since she was dressed as a little Santa's Helper! :) (And there is a sneak peek of a moose, or deer of some sort behind them in the picture) lol

I used the Merry Christmoose title file found HERE

And I also used the Christmoose Santa and Elf found HERE
I also used a freebie file for my journaling tag that I love, found HERE

Hope you will join us in our Christmas In July celebration!!! Lots of new files going up and also some freebies!

Room Decor with LSHD!

Last week the Little Scraps Of Heaven Designs blog challenge was Anything Goes.. I was still stuck on the week's before of Once Upon a Time so I chose to continue on with the princess theme and start my daughter's room decor. I bought all 6 letters at Michaels for 3.99 each. They measure about 9 inches tall. I used the Sleeping Beauty file for this letter and I absolutely love it! I can't wait to make the rest!

Here is my princess Rose. I used the dress from Dress Me Like a Princess and the hair from Girl with Slingshot instead of the hair and dress from this file because I liked her hair down, and her body facing forward.

I think this dragon is the cutest thing ever!

My little fairies were soooo hard to put together.. I made them about an inch wide, so they are very small and hard to detail with chalk and highlighting, but once they were finished I thought they were so cute!!

Thanks for looking!!

Journal update for EMILY!!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I had a journal update for you, but she posted today on her Caring Bridge! Here is her most recent entry:

Written 52 minutes ago by Sean Ziemathis
Helllllllooooooo everybody!!! It's been a LONG time since writing on here but I made it through my time away from home!!! And guess what?.....I'm back now and feeling very well! My body responded really well to my most recent completed phase and everyone is SO glad it did.....and so am I. Although I'm taken great care of when I am away, I miss being back and as the say "there's no place like home". School is out now so I get to play with my brothers and sisters all day long which is the best because I get bored when I'm all by myself ;0) i hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July. I did. I got to go outside and see fireworks, eat BBQ, and play with my family. And guess what else? I even got to make s'mores in my own backyard!!! Have I told you all how much I love camping?! Well that's one of the best parts! Eeewy gooey chocolate s'mores...... Hee Hee. I highly recommend you take time this summer to make one (or two) yourself and eat it ever so slowly. You won't be disappointed. Well I gotta go 'cause tomorrow is another chemo day but I appreciate each and every one of you and can't wait to say hello again. Oh, and thanks for keeping some cards going for me! I LOVE getting them and it makes me smile!
P.S. HI MRS. Maretich!!!!!!!!! ;0)

I'm glad you are still sending her cards! Keep 'em coming!
Her address is still in my left hand column! :)

Special Delivery :)

I just finished up another layout for my daughter's first album used LSHD patterns!

Most of my papers are Authentique Baby Girl. Background pink is DCWV and the large square mat is K&Co. The tiny fingers tiny toes chipboard tag and 2 little chipboard hearts are MAMBI.

My baby and stork pattern are from LSHD "Be my baby- Babies Collection" cut at approximately 7"

"special" is made out of chipboard thickers, and "delivery" is October Afternoon chipboard letters that I covered with the Authentique Baby Girl paper to match my layout.

I really like how soft this layout is, and how much it really showcases my little girl when she was just 2 weeks old :)

I used this sketch (sorry do not know who it belongs to)
I actually flipped it around like this and forgot to flip it back when I uploaded it.... Ok I was just too lazy to go back and flip it back around lol

Enjoy and as always
