Wow! Over 100 followers in a week!

I just wanted to let all of my new followers know that I'm still here and I'm sooooo thankful that everyone wants to join in on my giveaway and be my new scrappy friends!! I just wanted to say that I'm going to keep the giveaway open a little longer and see how many new friends I can get, while I'm dealing with some personal issues at home. As soon as I can though, I will be back and I will for sure pick one lucky winner! :) Thank you all for being so patient and I might even add some more goodies to the mix just because I'm taking so long! :)

I look forward to picking a winner and seeing what great projects we can all inspire each other to create!

HUGE giveaway when I reach 100 followers!!!

Hi everybody!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

My blog is fairly new and I am trying to get more followers to give me feedback on projects, and just to acquire more scrappy-artsy-crafty friends!! :)

So, as I was cleaning out my scraproom, I gathered everything that has sat there long enough without getting any scrapping love, so what better way than to give it to someone that might use it!!??

I think its a win-win situation! I get more space for new stuff, and one lucky follower of scrappinforkenzie gets a new friend :) and some free stuff!!

So far, there are hundreds of papers, a bunch of letter stickers, a handful of embellishments, a couple punches and a few other things!! How yummy does that sound?? Pictures coming soon!

Stay tuned!

To Win:

1. Become a follower!
2. Leave a comment on the next post with the pictures of my candy, letting me know your interested in winning!
3. Put my blog candy on your blog to spread the word!

Good luck!!!

Sweet Baby layout

I also did a sketch challenge for this week (on time this time!) :)
I chose to enter the sketch challenge over at Sketchy Thursdays, which I LOVEEE! I can't wait until the next sketch :)

Here's my layout for the challenge, I love the way it came out!! :)

My background paper is from K&Co "Snuggle Bug"
Smaller paper is also K&Co from the "Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl" line

First smile is from K&Co die pack "itsy bitsy"
Bottle was included with the "Sweet Baby" embellisments

This tag is a simple green gingham tag from a K&Co tag pad that I stapled a pink ribbon from Michaels to and trimmed one edge with decorative scissors. Then I inked the edges with pink and stamped little baby feet in the same pink. Then I added my journaling. MY FIRST ALTERED TAG!! YAYYY! :)

Sweet Baby is from Recollections dimensionals

For the banner i took a 1.5 inch circle punch and cut the circles is half, then i sloppy doodled around the flags and added rhinestones to act as the hanging points for the banner.

Here's the sketch for this week:

Isn't this just adorable!!??

Welcome baby layout

I'm a little late in posting this layout I did of when my daughter was just born, but I simply loved the sketch so much by Pagemaps that I did it anyways :)

On the top of the layout is Kenzie's ankle bracelet from the hospital
Background paper is from K&Company "Snuggle Bug"
Shape behind the journaling spot is from Lacy Labels, cut from the K&Co "Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl" paper pad
Ribbon with little feet is recycled from my diaper cake that I was given at my baby shower
"welcome baby" is cut from Simply Sweet cartridge and the shadow is welded using CDS

Diecut animals are from K&Company "Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl"

Kenzie's actual prints from less than a month old, I cut them out from the index cards I made

I popped up the little ducky

Kenzie's crib card from the hospital

My friend is getting married!!

My friend Amanda from high school is marrying her marine this year and I wanted to make her a card before I missed her bridal shower, since I moved 8 hours away :(

I took this idea from a combination of tutorials on the wedding hearts and I couldn't be more pleased with how cute they came out!! The paper is embossed with love and other words including adore that I got a long time ago at a LSS.

I cut out a peach heart and a white heart from the CAC cartridge then I embossed the bride with swiss dots and and inked the edges with silver as well as spritzed with silver ink.. then I added rhinestones for her necklace and pearls for her dress and popped up the middle part and glued the edges.

For the groom I cut out the same hearts in a white and black then made a slit and folded down the top for his lapels then snipped a little triangle is each one and inked with white as well as spritzing with silver. I tied a simple knot in the top of the ribbon and zotted it on. Finally I added little black rhinestones for his buttons and popped up just his chest and glued the edges together.

"Mr. & Mrs." is cut from the sweethearts cartridge with the shadow feature and I added rhinestones for the dots.

For the inside I cut out the wedding ring cut also from sweethearts and the 2 little hearts that were cut outs from the mr. and mrs. cut.

I added stickles to the diamond and silver ink to the rings.

I was so excited to get her this card and she told me how much she loved it!! I will definitely use these little wedding hearts somewhere else they are just toooooo adorable to use once!

****update!!*** Sure enough  I used these again! I made the same card for my cousins bachelorette party! She loved it!
