Lasting Memories Challenge -- "Pawsitively Sweet!"

It's time for another Lasting Memories Challenge!
This week we want you to show off your pets, zoo, or animal pics!!

Here is my layout:
My dad took Kenzie for a walk around the block and our little dog Cali followed them all the way. Kenzie loves her puppy :)

I used a sketch from the Pagemaps archive for my layout and I am soooo happy with how cute it came out!!

I used my peachy keen face stamp on my cute little kite, cut from Create a critter cartridge, clouds we cut from same cart.

Prima tiny letters, LOVE.

My mock Cali and wagon are also cut from the Create a critter cart, I absolutely love this cartridge.

My journaling spot which says, "Grandpa took you for a walk in your wagon and Cali tagged along the whole way."

I hope you will come play along with us over at Lasting Memories and join our challenge!
Our very own Kimberly is giving away the Home Accents cartridge!

Can't wait to see your layouts!!

Getting Scrappy Challenge - "Get Sketchy!" ~~ It's Halloween in March?

Welcome to another Getting Scrappy Challenge!
This week we want you to create any layout using a sketch!

I almost ALWAYS use a sketch and they usually result in some of my BEST layouts! I used a sketchy for my layout that I found online, (sorry, I can't remember where) but the creator's name is watermarked if you want to try to find it.

Here is my layout:
It's Halloween in March! LOL
Last year I took Kenzie to the Dell'Osso Farms in Lathrop, CA. It has the biggest corn maze, a pumpkin patch and haunted house among other really fun things for kids. I have seen it on the news so if you are nearby and haven't been there I highly recommend it. It's great!

Here is the sketch I used, by Cheri O'Neill

My Rosettes, or accordian flowers, are the leftovers that I didn't use on my Halloween Wreath, (you can see my tutorial HERE) I used these to determine the color scheme for my layout.

The jackolantern is cut from the Holiday Cakes Cricut cartridge and my jounaling tag is from Lacy Labels. Both cut at 2".

These pumpkins are also from the Holiday Cakes cartridge cut at 2" as well.

My title is cut at 3.25" from the Holiday Cakes cartridge and I'm so happy with how this came out! Who knew a cake cartridge was so versatile?? :)

Please come join us for our Getting Scrappy Challenge! You have until Saturday April 1st to play along! :)

TIME FOR A THANK YOU!!!

Your kindness means SO much to us. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! In addition to that, I wanted to say a SPECIAL thanks to a few people.
To Danny Martinez & Church.....your prayers and support show that love and help doesn't have to be right next to us but can come from miles away. A great example that you can help anyone around the world. Ig has helped us so much. Thank you!
To The Dean Family & Church....not only have you been a support here directly, but you have extended that support in a way that is beyond gratitude. Truly an example of community! We love you all and Thank you!
To the Jodway Family..... Your gift of friendship and desire to help others has been a great asset to us in our time of need. Not only to Emily but to the rest of us as well. It is kept in a special place in our hearts. Thank you for helping make life a little easier for us right now!
{{To Michelle Routhier & Friends..... Your special talents and word of mouth have made a world of difference for Emily's everyday life! Not only does it show kindness and sympathy, but also acts as a learning experience with all the geography involved! Thank you SO much for organizing and keeping her smiles going! Those cards are BEAUTIFUL!!}} This is us guys!!
To Dan and Val...... The idea, time and dedication that you have shown us is HUGE! Although not close directly, you kindness and caring has proven to come from huge hearts and so very much appreciated! Thank you for thinking of and supporting us!

I wish that I could hand write a thank you note or card to each and every person that has lent a hand! Time just doesn't allow me to with all we have going on but please know that I treasure so dearly every phone call, letter, card, gift, note and help that we receive! I never knew or had ANY idea how blessed we are to have you all in our lives!!!!!

Lasting Memories Challenge - "We're Feeling Lucky!"

Welcome to another Sunday! That means there is a new challenge over at Lasting Memories! This week we want you to use the word LUCKY on your layout but it does NOT have to be St. Patty's theme. Your word can be in the title or in the journaling but it is mandatory. There is also an inspirational sketch and photo for you to use if you wish but those are NOT mandatory. :)

We also have an awesome GIVEAWAY sponsored by my DT sister Suzanne!

Here is my take on the challenge: I chose to use the word Lucky in my journaling :)
This was over the summer last year when we moved back home. She was playing with her toys and pulled these 2 out so I put them on her and snapped some super cute pictures! I just love having a girl!

I absolutely loved making this cluster! I have never really made any clusters like this before but I have always admired those that could, and I think mine came out very pretty! I have also never distressed the edges of my papers this way before and I really like this as well! I used scissors to rough up the edges and tear them a little and it adds so much!

My title is perfect for this picture! I added the bling from a recollections sticker pack that came with the little carriage in the above picture. The vellum title came from a DCWV quote stacks that I have had FOREVER!

And here is my journaling! I am a very LUCKY momma!

I hope you will join us over at Lasing Memories! You have until March 18 to link up your layout using the word "lucky" along with the inspirational photo or sketch or all 3!

HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Lasting Memories Challenge - Color with a sketch!

Here is another SUPER late layout! This one is for Lasting Memories DT Challenge which was to use the color theme in the photo along with this super fun sketch!

Here is my layout! I had so much fun doing this layout, I LOVED the colors in the inspirational photo!
The yellow and pink papers, along with the green photo mats are DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies, and the Jewel Colored matstack. The grass is from EP Country drive. "First" is a puffy sticker by Momenta and "easter" is MAMBI glitter Alpha Chips.

All the eggs, the bunny, the lady bugs and the butterflies are stickers by Best Creations Inc. Bunny Love collection. The doily is from Joanns and the bingo card is  Jenny Bowlin inked with pink.

I fussy cut all of the grass and then I pop dotted every other section and made a shadow for the whole thing. I LOVE the way my grass came out, I have never done this before and it looks awesome! :)
HURRY OVER TO LASTING MEMORIES!! Tonight is the last night to enter your layout for our color challenge with a sketch! I hope you will join us!!
HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Getting Scrappy Challenge - Color me Lucky!

Okay I know I am so, so, so late in getting my challenge layout done for Getting Scrappy, but life happens and I try my best! This weeks challenge is Color Me Lucky! (Use the color green on your page.)

This challenge runs from March 4th, until March 17th, so if you haven't entered yet, you still have plenty of time!

For my layout I used DCWV template and paper. I love these photos of Kenzie!

The green plaid is from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies, and the pink photo mats and pink doily are from DCWV Jewel Colored cardstock matstack. The title is cut from Simply Sweet cricut cart using EP Country Drive paper. The green glitter strip is by Best Creations. I did some faux zigzag stitching with my white gel pen in between my photos. I was dying to use my sewing machine that I just got but I think I bought it broken so I improvised lol

My journal spot is cut from Lacy Labels and I created the green lines with a piece of scrap paper dipped in green ink. I also inked the edges with green and a little bit of pink, along with all of my wonderful doodling LOL

The pink part of the doily is cut from Lacy Labels, the shadow welded using CCR and doodled on, and then the white part of the doily is actually part of a Prima packaging that I fussy cut out, it is a clear plastic that I glued down with Diamond Glaze. My white strips are punched with my Fiskars threading water edge punch and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a little bit of pink ink as well.

Please come visit our Getting Scrappy Challenge and enter your "green" pages!

"Which came first??" Blog hop!

Memories In Tyme Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Which Came First???" Blog Hop!!
Who knew that a single piece of paper or a tiny rubber stamp would start an addiction that could overtake our dining rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms???   What started it for you?  Did you start by stamping cards and then progress to scrapbooking?  Were you an avid picture-taker turned cardmaker?  Or did you pick something from the start and stick with it?  Join us on our adventure as we share how we each got started in the scrapbooking and stamping craft!!  You'll find some fun stories, neat projects, and awesome folks along the way, we hope you'll enjoy each and every moment!! Let's get hopping!!  If you've hopped over from   Suzanne P, then you are in the right place!!  If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our FUN, then please CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Lynda's blog... For the hop today, I wanted to share some of my VERY FIRST scrapbook layouts from 2004!
I was soooo excited when I finished my very first scrapbook layout of all time! :) I bought that little foam kitty from Michaels and turned it into a tiger and used a little fabric kitty on the bottom also from Michaels. Then some letter stickers and unmatted pictures to finish it off! You can't belive how proud I was! :)

As I did more pages I started to get a little better and used some vellum that I wrote on with a swirly kind of writing, and topped it off with 3 embellie flowers, and used a corner punch on my mat.

Can you see a pattern here? Letter stickers, unmatted pictures and very simple embellies and I was done. But I am still very proud of my first layouts! They were 8.5"x11" pages so there was a little less room that a 12"x12" and they had a little CAS feel to them that I like.

I got a little fancy on this one! I used paper fiber paper and some eyelets along with a pop out border from a border book. This page was actually covered in stickers like the horse one, but I re-did it when I seen how fugly it was! It was in the same week though so it's not cheating by showing this page!;)

I had an idea of cutting the diagonal corners off and I went with it.. I really like it still! This page also has some large letter stickers and zero embellies! I used the butterflies on the paper as my extras on the page.

Another great idea I think! I tried to go with a mosaic look and I really like how it came out, even though the center is smaller than I wanted.. I cut it down too many times lol. The JOY was all white that I colored with yellow and drew on some swirlies to match my paper, and the metal accents were givin to me. The JOY saying on the bottom came from a LOVE sticker pack that I STILL HAVE! lol

This is one of my FAVORITE oldies! The clay critters were from Michaels I think and the borders were from a little kit that I purchased a long time ago. This page came out so girly and pretty and I still love it! :)

Another superrrrr CAS oldie that I love, the tag is from that kit that I mentioned and the butterflies were pop outs from a page in it also, I think even the frame was too.. wow I was sooo not original lol But I do like the design and the little butterfly trails and I used diamond glaze on each butterfly :) really girly and pretty!

AND NOW WHAT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! Ladies and Gentlemen...
My most recent work! ;)

These are 5 of my favorites from this past year of blogging!

I learned to use white paper, paints, inks, rhinestones, and my cricut! As well as buttons, twine, stamps, embossing powders and sooo much more! :)

Here I used paper punches, my cricut, and bling :)

MISTS! and chipboard, doilies, sketches, and the wrapping of my twine around a piece of paper

Gorgeous paper line designs by Best Creation, Echo Park, and so many more that I never knew existed! I used an edge punch here my cricut and a great sketch!

One of my all time favorites! I love my paint "waterfalls" and it was the first time I tried a digi image! And I love it! Plus my 3d flowers, a chipboard ticket covered with paper and ink and a stamp, AND fussy cutting flowers to use on my layout.. all new to me and look how far I have come!!! :)

Thank you soo much for joining me in my journey to the past and present!

Thank you again for checking out my project...  Now follow the links below and remember to visit all the stops for MAXIMUM ideas and LOTS OF FUN!! Your next hop stop is Karen!!!!
