Digi Darla's Blog Hop and Lasting Memories Challenge -"Going Digital"

banner lve my freebies from dd

Welcome to our first hop of 2012 at Lasting Memories!! If you've come from  Karen  then you're on the right track! If not, just click HERE to start at Lasting Memories and you'll also find all the details of the hop there! Please be sure to read through because this week we have a lot going on! We're being sponsored by Digi Darla which is PERFECT since this weeks challenge is "DIGITAL"!!

For my layout today, I used Digi Darla's "Blessing of Heaven"
I thought this was a perfect little image for some newborn photoshoot pictures I have of my daughter Kenzie. I colored her up with my Derwent Coloursoft pencils and cut her out with my razor blade and popped her up on pop dots. I think she is soooo cute!

I first started with my paint "waterfalls" and let them dry, then I used Echo Park paper, Recollections flowers, and a sheet of printed roses from GCD studios.

I layered 3 flowers from Recollections and attached them with a brad. I also stickled some of the edges of the flower and tucked a TH key underneath.

This is a chipboard ticket by Paper Accents that I covered with EP paper and sealed with Inksenntials Glue N Seal. I used a Studio G stamp and some pearls by Recollections. I inked the edges with Distress ink in walnut ink..

This is 5 stacked flowers by Recollections, stickled and stuck together with a brad.

I fussy cut these roses out of a printed sheet by GCD Studios.. So Pretty!! ( I added the yellow flower later that is shown in my full layout picture above. It had a white hole that I didn't like so I took another picture after I added it but I didn't update this picture.)

The butterflies are MS punches in 2 different sizes.

I also added a TH lock from the lock and key set
This entire layout was inspired by Marilyn Rivera, She is soooo good at what she does!! Check her out!

Please come join us at Lasting Memories for our Going Digital challenge! Digi image, digital layout, or even a layout of you taking digital pictures!

I have a "Cards for Emily" project going on right now, please come back after the hop and take a look. The cancer is now undetectable but she is on 7 different chemos and supervision until she can finally go home. She would love some cards by you! If you could, I would greatly appreciate it, she is my niece :)

I love that painting affect! I'm going to have to try that. I'm looking at your LO and thinking, there's so many things I DON'T do and I SHOULD! The painting, more layering - gorgeous and that image is sweet and love that you popped her up!!!
