PL13 Week 2 + Tips on organization

Welcome to PL13 Week 2!

This week I used a lot of freebies from Pinterest. All of the rainbow hearts and stripe cards are from here.

I took the pictures of my pages while they were still in the book so sorry for the ring shadows and the crooked left side lol. Next week I will take them out to get a "flatter" straighter picture.

I used an instagram of a collage I made this week, love this look so I think I might use more instagrams, but maybe a little smaller. For my "week 2" cards, I cut it out using my cricut and scal2 and then used the negative cut out for a 3x4 card with rainbow stripes behind it. Then punched out some butterflies to fill the empty black space and used the positives on the title card. I LOVE all the rainbow I used this week!

The camera is a Dear Lizzy stamp by American Crafts, popped up on pop dots.

Annddd... my journaling for the highlights of the week :)

So I mentioned in my last post that I would share how I organized my layout and here is the weekly planner template that I downloaded for free:

And how I used it for this week to organize my thoughts and plan where I want my pictures to go. It really helps with deciding how to print my pictures in the correct sizes and to see if I need more pictures to fill spots, or to cut back on pictures. It definitely speeds up the slowest process for me. :) Hope it helps you too!

PL13 Week 1

As promised, here is week 1 of my PL13! I am very proud of myself that I have been caught up so far! Just a little slow on the posting part, but I am trying to work on that this year :) So far I have been able to finish the weekly spreads before the next week is over and that to me is a HUGE accomplishment since I'm such a perfectionist, and it seems that the deciding what pictures should go where and how to resize them is what takes me the longest.... I found an awesome freebie planner that I will share with you for next week's spread, so keep an eye out! ;) It definitely helps in that department!

This week was a lot of fun! We went to the Oakland CA Zoo, so I wanted to do a whole 12x12 page of my weekly spread just for that day. My favorite thing to do so far is journaling directly on the photos! I love the look, and freedom that it gives me that I would never do in full size scrapbooking! I also love that everyday pictures are getting scrapped!

My calendar is a freebie printout that I have pinned on my Pinterest, all I did was cut out the calendar part of the 3x4 card with a little border and I'm going to add one of these to every week, I love the look! "This week" and "smile" cards are also freebies I found on Pinterest!

For this project I also learned how to use Photosheet to manipulate my pictures to be ready for printing in sizes that I want, I love the ease and quickness of it! Much quicker than resizing and adding white space in photoshop! I used it to make my 3x4 picture and those little 2x3 pictures too!

Don't you LOVE that craft zebra print!? I do!

Project Life 2013 Cover Page

Welcome 2013!

I have acquired a new obsession, I must admit...

I just finished my cover page for my very first Project Life album :) 

It took me forever and 2 weeks to figure out what I wanted to do, but I think I am veryyyyyy happy with how it came out :)

That is sooo true! And a great opening statement to this year :)

Hope you enjoyed my cover page! I will upload week 1 and 2 tomorrow, I must get some sleep!

Project Life 2013

Project life... who's doing it this year!?

I AM!

And I have NO idea what I'm doing! LOL

I started my first week layout before this 2nd was over, so I say I'm already off to a good start :)

If anybody has ANY tips for just starting out, please let me know!! I started a pinterest boards for freebies and ideas that I love, come on over and follow me if you like!

We're all in this together :)

And I can use all the lessons I can get that you all have learned from doing it last year!
